Salty Edamame: wish she could have spiced it up- Dish or the life !!

What do you do after a heart wrenching breakup? Holiday, that’s the best rescue to let go of those bitter memories and yes, also provides an opportunity for REBOUND HOOKUP. Okay agree that we keep on going back to the subject- but looks like this is an all-pervasive problem these days- “Jise dekho uska dil toota hua hai”.
So the hunt for destination began- “Bali” was the first choice and as it should be, girls trip…..Group of 3 landed to this therapeutic picturesque island in sexy clothes and took a jetty to Gili island- “the very famous true PARADISE on earth”. Busy rainy season of December, accommodation in a cottage style hostel, cheap food, life post heartbreak couldn’t have been better.
While janta rush for water sports, the girls had specific agenda for the day – cycling around the island, massage after every 3 hours (be it head/ foot/ body or anything specific), elaborate spread for lunches and all of this was super cool on the pocket. While they call retail therapy as best for killing depression- here it was literally in lakhs and lakhs. If this couldn’t kill depression what else can!!
And while everything was perfect in this dreamy island, as always, there is a “BUT” – this couldn’t take away the heartache which was burning every part of her and so, there had to a different agenda for the evening.
Got dressed in denim shorts and halter neck tops, they decide to hit an Irish café on the beach – can still recall tapping on the tune of “Galway Girl” holding an LIIT and swooning over tall hunks- God these IRISH men are next to Greek Gods with an add on their spirits to live LIFE – Uff what a combination !!. These men are gorgeous when it comes to looks and a lot sexier when it comes to dealing with women (so respectable). Two drinks down, the girls started to have fun (in any case the body was feeling light bcoz of massage rounds during the day) when a group of men joined them at the table (as expected and intended).
As the night was growing young, conversation was getting spiced up (from Irish politics to Indian beauty to views on ONS and so on….) – they ordered salted Edamame and corn ribs which go well with the drinks.
As the spirits were high, she was asked for dance. She seized the opportunity, isn’t that what she came to Bali for……. He pulled her close for a close dance and swinged her like music; in that very moment, all the heartache went away- Damn this was the moment of much needed Pleasure. As they inched closer and kissed, his hands were all over her.
Still enjoying- with a lightening spark and before it could have got too late to control, she said a rushed Good bye and escaped out of the café with her friends. There was a pin drop silence with minds echoing cluttered thoughts and words. No one said a word to each other. It was 2 AM, they unlocked their cycles from the stand, switched on the google map and started cycling to the hostel non-stop until they reached hostel gate. She looked at her friends, bursted into tears and said “why cant I get my past out of my head?” “why could I not move on?” “why am I so uptight?”. Were these just the “SALTED EDAMAMES” or Love is Love and no form of Lust can overcome that. Alas !! this is the truth of heartbreak which even an Irish hunk in Bali couldn’t cure.
