Love is poison and so is ambition…..still my chosen vices!!
Truly inspired by the latest of Ali Sethi and Shae Gill – “Pasoori” took us down the realms of magical madness of LOVE. Even the most beautiful thing becomes poisonous when it crosses the line of intensity but can you really experience the MADNESS and the HIGH without being drowned into the extremes of vices? Let’s try and decode the two biggest virtues and vices- LOVE and Ambition.
There is dark side to every human and it brings out the evil when vices outdo everything else – be it LOVE or AMBITION. One is Emotion and other is Aspiration but alike in so many ways – passion, intensity, desire, fulfilment which can make it as beautiful as rose and as venomous as snake.
But can we live without them? Fuck, NO. Life without love is like dancing without music, performing without audience, movie without popcorn or sex without orgasm. While Love being quintessential part of human existence, just doesn’t come with sweetness alone, it brings passion to feel and own that love leading to jealousy, competition, lust, anger, miserable pain. Well knowingly- Heartbreak is one of the most helpless and pricking pain that human brains can go through. And is this sweet poison worth it? Oh yes, hell yes! Being in love is by far the most beautiful feeling in the world. If you haven’t loved, you haven’t experienced the most beautiful dimension of human life where the bliss is beyond measure and unison in mind, body and soul is so tranquil that it takes to the extremes of losing self-identity.
As they say- Let the love flow, let the heart break, and let the heart feel that love again…………”Aa jaavay dil tera, poora vi na hovay” ❤❤
Ambition is so close to this in spirit and form…… what is it really and what drives it? Quest for money or fame or is it just proving self-worth or is it just a celebrated way of filling all void in life? Ambition can be good, very good, it gives purpose to life and in that process, may do some good to society in some form or shape (economically or socially), so then whats the problem? Ambition to win is good, ambition to win vis-à-vis ‘X’ is a vice – moving up is great, bringing someone else down is evil…..very very thin line and as humans, we are often on the wrong side of the fence without realizing the dent and the collateral damage it can cause for life. Is it worth? Debatable. But the ecstasy that fulfilment of ambition brings, that sense of pride and acknowledgement – isn’t it a HIGH much needed to survive and then carry on…
Well, Ambition makes you ‘DO BETTER’ and Love makes you ‘BE BETTER’…….. fuck!! more you think, more you realize, both are much needed in life….. and if you can’t get both, you still need to chase both with every ounce of your existence – u know why? just so that one can fill the void for another so beautifully that you aim to become the most contended and happy person (not only to the external world but also to your own self)😉 . and if you are lucky enough- the HIGHs these two bring are all worth the venom that comes alongside- cos yet again- the dark side is as important to realize the importance of brightness.
And this being so, don’t stop me, let me chase my ambition and fill my life with love. I can live with vices but not a loveless life without a purpose. Yes, life is too short for regrets, for not trying, for not chasing, for not wanting, for not conquering, for not being ‘you’ and going back to age old Indian mystics- SHIVA won’t be SHIVA if he hadn’t drunk the POISON….😊😊
