Essence of Spirituality
In the modern world where we are questioning every belief, every notion- one of the biggest things we ponder is- do we really need GOD in our lives? In any shape or form? In times where most of us have become ATHEIST and believe in living life as it comes and swinging in the extremes- are we concluding that the belief system that our earlier generations/society have been following all these years has become redundant?
More so with time we are realising that most of our actions/beliefs/rituals had some scientific logics behind them- we decided to put another lens to critically analyse- what would have made our earlier generations believe in a SUPER POWER/ DESTINY or Sheer BLESSINGS as they say it.
Check out below and reason by yourself, if it worth a SHOT even today:
- We all agree that we need some SUPPORT SYSTEM/ANCHORS in our life to navigate through ups and downs. While situations/people in world may change/come and go- that one BELIEF in SUPERPOWER always remains. It’s YOURS and only YOURS (try abandoning one belief you strongly have and see- is it even possible?). and isn’t that feeling of some permanence in life so comforting? Isn’t that what we all crave for?
- At some point in time, we all have been in situations where we end up wondering on what just happened, something we could have never imagined and something that is beyond human brain’s comprehension. Do we not then put it onto a small word called “DESTINY” or “MEANT to BE”. What is this if not some SUPERPOWER operating beyond our control? When on earth have Science been able to explain when suddenly everything comes together after a catastrophe or vice versa (a new opportunity/redundancy, a new/failed relationship etc etc..)
- With these new branches of Astrology becoming the new fad – Tarot reading, Palmistry. Traditional temple priests and most accurate so far on the block- Nadi Astrology- We all go to them to deduce our future- in the name of being better prepared or out of sheer curiosity? Doesn’t all of them still strongly indicate that someone has surely written something for us or some weird planetary positions are causing some blessings/havoc in our lives- Damn who even got these planets arranged to dictate our lives especially when we were getting out of the womb forcefully in a hospital…
- Its human nature to wonder and worry about future- one of the worst fears of mankind being FEAR of UNCERTAINITY. Don’t we all operate/act/panic just in anticipation of what’s gonna happen next? And since NO science has yet claimed to predict how well our next increment cycle will go, how nice the next guy/girl we would meet would be or even if something that we desperately CRAVE for would be OURS or not-Isn’t it so comforting to put it all on that unknown Power and live life believing that it’s all pre decided anyhow.
- And the biggest Fear of DEATH- the harsh reality- be it our own or our loved ones- isn’t the entire system we are operating on here based on just and just BELIEF. Who has seen HELL or HEAVEN- even if someone who has seen it tells us all about it- would we even believe it until we have experienced it ourself? What is those “WELLS of FIRE” or “BED of ROSES” and “ENCHANTING LADIES” if not our fancy imaginations of Good and Bad. But isn’t it what motivate us to keep going and claiming GOOD if at all?
Long story Short- call it the survival mechanism or finding comfort in someone more powerful than us, blaming the events of life or maintaining some sort of permanence in our lives- this BELIEF was developed/nurtured and passed on to generations for a specific reason and by all means and logics above- looks like it’s WORTH a SHOT even NOW.
